2x2Double-Double

A double-double is a single game with double-digit totals in two of: points, rebounds, assists, steals, or blocks.

Formula

Double-double: ≥10 in any 2 of {PTS, REB, AST, STL, BLK} in one game.

Example

A center with 18 PTS and 12 REB in a single game logs a double-double.

Why it matters

Frequency of double-doubles signals consistency at scoring + secondary impact (rebounds or assists). Tracked at the season level for awards.

In depth

The classic double-double pairs are PTS+REB (bigs) and PTS+AST (guards). Steals and blocks technically count, but a 10-block or 10-steal game is rare enough that those double-doubles are noteworthy.
